Lifting Each Other Up: Repairers of the Breach Event

On the 4th of July, K&C founder – George Koonce Jr. – celebrated our nation's birthday in the most meaningful way possible – serving others as part of the annual “Independence Day Cookout and Program.” George had the honor of speaking about life’s successes and challenges as part of a new inspirational series with other community presenters around the theme, “This Is My Story . . .”

George shares: "I spent the day with the incredible 'Repairers of the Breach' organization, alongside some of the most resilient and inspiring individuals I've ever met. They may be struggling with Housing, but they're rich in spirit and deserving of love and respect. Grateful for this experience and the reminder that true freedom and independence are about lifting each other up.

Repairers of the Breach is a daytime refuge and resource center for homeless adults in Milwaukee.
